GlobalM and Lamhas Partner to Expand Managed IP Broadcast Services Across India

GMX1 deployments in New Delhi and Mumbai will provide software-defined infrastructure for news, sports and permanent media distribution services

Geneva, Switzerland and New Delhi, India – 27th August 2026GlobalM and Lamhas Satellite Services today announced a new agreement that will see GlobalM’s GMX technology deployed as part of Lamhas expanding managed IP broadcast infrastructure in India.

Under the agreement, Lamhas will deploy GlobalM GMX1 within a new data centre infrastructure in New Delhi and Mumbai, creating locally hosted software-defined media nodes for the delivery of managed broadcast services.

The infrastructure will support a range of applications including live news contribution and distribution, sports coverage and permanent broadcast services, providing Lamhas customers with access to scalable IP media transport, routing and processing infrastructure.

Lamhas provides managed broadcast and media services to more than 250 Indian and international broadcasters and has expanded its portfolio from traditional satellite services into IP and cloud based video distribution. The company already provides services across broadcast, digital video distribution and live sports and events.

The deployment of GMX1 will allow Lamhas to operate GlobalM’s software-defined media technology directly from the infrastructure located in India. Services can be provisioned and managed through the GMX platform, combining media routing, distribution, processing, monitoring and automation within a common operational environment.

Most importantly, the architecture is not limited to individual point to point connections. The New Delhi and Mumbai deployments will form part of a distributed media infrastructure that can support permanent services alongside dynamically provisioned capacity for news and live sporting events.

GMX1 can also operate alongside GMX Cloud, allowing Lamhas to combine locally deployed infrastructure with public cloud resources and GlobalM’s wider distributed architecture when additional capacity or international reach is required.
